About Us
Church and Pastor
Pastor Chuck Call
Welcome to Ashe County Worship Center:
If you are looking for a church home and a family of believers who love God with all their hearts and want to see lives changed forever, then Ashe County Worship Center is the place for you and your family. We offer weekly bible studies for youth and adults. Your kids will have opportunities through Sunday School and Wednesday night bible study to be taught the word, as well as, lots of activities throughout the year. We teach and preach the word of God, and our goal is to empower every believer with the word so they can live empowered by the word. We believe every service should be filled with anointed worship and a life-changing word from the Lord, so we encourage you to come and worship with us this week and hear what God is saying to His people.
What We Believe:
ACWC is founded upon the scripture Matt. 19:26. "With God all things are possible!" We believe there is NOTHING too hard for God to do. God is still saving, healing, and delivering those who are seeking him and his plan for their lives.
With excitable praise and worship, anointed teaching and preaching, the awesome presence of God that engulfs each service....souls are being saved, bodies are being healed, drug addicts and alcoholics are being delivered and those held to religious traditional doctrines set free by the power of God
Our History:
On April 24, 2005 Ashe County Worship Center was started with a clarion call from God to Pastor Chuck Call to begin a non-denominational, "spirit-filled" church in Ashe County with a vision and mission to see the lost saved, the young people delivered and set free, and a place to worship for those who are hungry and thirsty for more of God. Our first service, with 45 in attendance, was held at the Westwood Elementary School in West Jefferson. After moving to various locations for almost a year, God provided a home for our ever-growing church family on Ray Taylor Road.
Pastor Chuck has spent most of the last 32 years pastoring churches in Ashe County. Before coming to The Worship Center, he has had the honor to pastor Ebenezer Church, Sand Mountain Baptist, Rock View Baptist, and Clifton Baptist. Now being in full-time ministry, God is opening doors for a Message of Hope to go beyond the four walls of the church. He has a heart to reach all of Ashe County and the world with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He and his wife, "Miss Susie", reside in Deep Gap with their son, Will, and daughter, Hope.
